I am a native of Fort Worth, Texas and a product of FWISD having
graduated from R.L. Paschal High School. I went on to obtain an
Associate of Arts degree and an Associate of Applied Science in
Physical Therapy degree from Tarrant County College. I worked in the
physical therapy field for eight years before returning to school and
obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University.
I am currently working on my Master's of Education degree from The
University of Texas at Arlington.
I have taught middle school Science for nine years at William James
Middle School prior to joining the Young Women’s Leadership Academy
where I have taught for seven years. I served eight years in the Texas
Army National Guard. I am the proud husband of my high school
sweetheart and father of four great sons.
I am excited by the opportunity to help develop the future doctors,
lawyers, engineers, scientists, politicians, etc, that will come through the
halls of the Young Women’s Leadership Academy.

2nd six-weeks
6th grade topics we will be covering will include:
-Space exploration
-Technology that makes manned space exploration possible
-Components and properties of the universe
-Types and characteristics of galaxies
-Life cycle of stars
-Light years and astronomical units
-Origins of the universe
-Electromagnetic Spectrum
8th grade topics we will be covering will include:
-Energy transformations
-Energy transfer
-Kinetic and potential energy
-Balanced and unbalanced forces
-Force and motion
-Motion graphs
My official tutoring is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 -
4:30. However, I am able to meet with students at other times as well if
these times don't work well for them. However, they do need to come see
me to work out the timing and get a pass. We also have 40 minutes
eachFriday for advisory period which can also be used for tutoring or
homework help whenever needed.
(Be sure to come get a pass no later than the day before and bring
something specific that you need help with so we can make the most
of our time.)
